How to care for your macarons:
Though macarons are best enjoyed at room temperature, they should be kept in the refrigerator if you don't plan on eating them right away. to maintain their freshness. Make sure to consume them within a week.
Some buttercream fillings with fruit may become too soft in a humid and warm temperature. In such a case, you may serve them straight out of the refrigerator.
Your macarons will last up to 2 months if kept in the freezer in an airtight container (thaw at room temperature for about 30 minutes), 1 week if kept in the refrigerator, and 3 days at room temperature.
Because they are very delicate, they are best handled while frozen when placing in treat bags, favor boxes, or serving trays.
Some flavors mature sooner than others. Buttercream fillings with fruit, such as lemon, blueberry, raspberry white chocolate, and jams, tend to have softer interiors than others. Fillings like espresso, salted butter caramel, pistachio, and chocolate hazelnut have a chewier texture, and might take a longer time to soften their interiors. If your macaron biscuits are still crunchy when you receive them, they may be allowed to soften by leaving them out in their containers for about 4-5 hours at room temperature, then return them into your refrigerator to store.
